Upp Technology irms|360™ Enterprise Upgrade Supports Vaccines for Children in Ohio
Downers Grove, IL - Upp Technology, a leader in emergency preparedness and response solutions, announced that the Ohio State Department of Health has elected to upgrade their irms|360™ Enterprise solution suite to the latest version of the software, including irms|WM™ Warehouse Management and irms|EM™ Emergency Management components. The upgraded product will provide the state with increased customization, scalability, and flexibility in their daily and emergency drug distribution operations.
Ohio sought to upgrade their irms|360 implementation in support of Vaccines for Children (VFC), a federal program that provides no cost vaccinations for children in need. The newly upgraded software interfaces with Ohio’s IMPACT SIIS Immunization Registry and vaccine distributor McKesson to help manage the ordering and distribution of vaccines to medical providers throughout the state.
In addition to supporting picking, packing and shipping functions, irms|360 manages maximum inventory stock levels per vaccine and built-in decision support assists the state in determining the correct order numbers for each provider.
“One of the strongest features of our upgrading system is that once a public health customer does an upgrade, we provide all that functionality to them at no charge,” said Tyrone Kirk, Upp Technology Project Manager. “Part of our customer care package is that we don’t make the client pay for new customizations, once they have upgraded, we want to ensure that they are satisfied with their technology solutions.”
irms|360 is designed for flexibility, scalability and interoperability, virtually eliminating inaccurate data and inventory outages while streamlining labor-intensive tasks. The modular system is easy to configure and easy to operate, with irms|WM supporting day-to-day inventory distribution from centralized state-wide management, and irms|EM designed for emergency patient registration, triage, treatment and tracking at POD field operations. Ohio also utilizes the irms|GOKIT™ Mobile Logistics warehouse-in-a-box for rapid, forward-deployable warehousing on the go.
